Booking and Arrivals
Planning your arrival is essential as I want you to have the best experience possible.
How far in advance should I book my appointment?
When should I arrive for my appointment?
It is suggested to book well in advance for your hair appointment. I would recommend pre-booking appointments before leaving the salon. For first time appointments please message for availability.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Remember to set aside time to find parking.
What if I’m early for my appointment?
What if I’m running late to my appointment?
Please let me know if you have arrived before your appointment time. I will do my best to see you early, but this may not always be the case as I may be with another client.
If you find yourself running late for your appointment, please contact me to let me know. Anything after 15 minutes may need to be rescheduled.
Comfort in the Chair
Whether you want a quiet work session, a chat, or restful downtime, your appointment adapts to you.
What do I need to do before a consultation?
What should I bring for my appointment?
Can I request a silent appointment?
Ideally, I would like to see what your hair looks like on a normal day, no need to do anything special, use all the same products you normally do. Bring any pictures you like for inspiration. Try and look at pictures that are most similar to your hair texture, to make visualising the end result easier.
Hot and cold drinks are provided but bring whatever you think you’ll need to feel comfortable. Bring a book, something to watch, your work laptop, snacks.
Of course! If you want to sit and relax without feeling the pressure of chatting that’s more than ok.

Feeling Comfortable
How can I keep my colour from fading?
I’m feeling nervous about a haircut, what should I do?
There are a few ways one can slow down colour fade after a salon visit.
1. Try to avoid washing your hair 24-48 hours after your colour appointment. Try to limit washing your hair to 1-2 times a week.
2. Avoid washing hair with hot water. Washing your hair with cold water will slow the colour fade in your newly coloured hair.
Haircuts can be stressful if you’ve had a bad experience in the past, or you’re unsure of what you want, what your hair needs, or what would suit you. Because of this I offer a free consultation. You can come in, we can have a chat about your hair needs and hair history, then we can come up with a plan or some options for you to go away and think about before you come for your appointment.
3. Always use a heat protect product before you style and try to avoid overuse of curling irons, flat-irons and blow-dryers. The heat from these tools will fade the colour.
4. Wear a swimming cap to protect your hair from colour fading chlorine and / or salt.
5. UV exposure will speed up colour fade, so wear a hat to avoid direct sunlight.
6. Use colour safe shampoo and conditioners.
7. Try using serums and leave in conditioners throughout the week to keep your hair hydrated.
